On the Main Stage

Thursday 14th Friday 15th Saturday 16th at 7.30pm

'Remembering' by Tim Sturrock (full production)

Carla and Martin used to be best friends but haven't spoken to each
other in fifteen years.

Susan is trying to make the present time just as wonderful as the past was.

Ian occasionally talks to a mysterious object he carries around with him.

This is what happens when they all get together for a reunion, and
what they discover about the memories they thought they shared.

Now you see me by Susan Jevons (full production)

Life doesn’t come with a sat-nav, so how can you ever be sure you’re
in the right place?

Barry is where he’s always been – running Fattorini’s funfair. But
when teenager Shelley turns up out of the blue, with a shock
announcement, he’s forced to examine his life more closely.

Shelley is soon causing mayhem, and Barry should tell her it isn’t
working. But telling it straight isn’t something he’s good at. He’s
sure it’ll sort itself out, though, because for all her faults,
Shelley’s got a good head on her shoulders. Or has she?

A comedy about ambition, belonging … and bananas.

In the Studio

Wednesday 13th April at 7.30pm

Mothers Meeting by Gareth Rhodes (script in hand production)

Tony, Barry, Phil and Dave look after the inhabitants of their street
and any problems they have. The group make sure their neighbours are
settled, bins are collected, and parking is sensible. They want to
make sure their little community is happy, and pride themselves on
making sure it is a good street to live in. Whilst planning their
annual Summer Party, do they take their neighbourly duties a step too
far, or are they helping a fellow neighbour?

WORKING LIVES by Andrew Crowther. (script in hand production)

Do you live to work or work to live?

The firm of Metcalfe and Sons is in trouble, but Metcalfe can't think
why. Pauline wants out. Lisa wants to lie in bed all day eating pizza.
Ted wants the F16s done by ten thirty. Four contrasting personalities,
thrown together by the accidents of their working lives, tussle with
their hopes and dreams and the realities that keep them alive.

So what do we want from life? Freedom, money, security? Working Lives
is a tragedy for our times.

Thursday 14th April at 7.30pm

Lil’s Place by Joanne Hartley (script in hand production)

The closure of Lil’s Place is imminent but Lil’s Widower is fighting
to keep the café, and her memory alive... After her death the cafe has
faded of its former glory and business is not good. John relies on his
son Wayne to help keep the place going but Wayne has plans of his
own... And then Terry begins to frequent the cafe, stirring up the
past and threatening the future.

Who was Lil? And where was her rightful place? Will Wayne have the
courage to break the mould?

Waiting for Spring by Barbara Wyles (script in hand production)

Everyone knows school routine and school staff rooms are the same
everwhere aren't they? At St. Josephs, each member of staff is so well
known to all the others. Each is following the path to retirement
which is long, or short, according to age. Nothing can change. Or can
it?

Friday 15th April at 7.30pm

Mexican proverbs by Sarah Wallis (script in hand production)

At a genteel hotel by the sea, a fortune teller, a painter and a
married couple with a secret converge on the terrace. One has a lesson
to learn or lose his most prized possession, two have dreams to
fulfill and one is on a mission to help another. Can they all get what
they want before they step off the apparent holiday merry-go-round?

Flatshare by Catherine Hope (script in hand production)

‘It seems like a nice room…’

Frances wants a flat. Gemma needs a flatmate. They’ve never met
before, but they’re bound to get on great. Unless one of them has a
secret agenda, that is, and the other doesn’t know about it. But what
will happen when she finds out? Could the tables be turned – and who
will come out on top?

Saturday 16th April at 7.30pm

I love the shapes that smoke makes caught by hard light in still air. My brother Andrew has some gorgeous shots he took the previous winter one fine morning... was it something like 4 that you left the house to catch a numenous jack frost with your breath in the still icy night? Hoary ink blots. Smokey impressions aren't as healthy but certainly more comfortable. Special effects to rival poltergeist. Love.

Muriel's in Bingley

Have been getting arty in a fine art stylie this week. I've cast three faces in plaster at the playhouse in prep for mask making and also started painting/constructing a large indoor mural at a yute centre in Bingley. Thought I'd paint a giant pink humbolt manga squid called Alberto. Part of the squid based installation includes a set of giant musical tubes. I wonder if the commissioning authority realised what they were getting when they hired me and mine... Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device

Group was amazing today. So meaningful. I managed to make the most out of it after only one hour of sleep. Last night was amazing too. I spent most of it wearing a pair of donkey ears and drinking gin. Love!

Neriads

Went to the British Museum today before college. Thought this little sea nymph was 'a bit of alright' Pity she'd lost her head. Possibly the best place in London to spend your time when you have nothing better to do. Fire alarm went off when I was there. We all had to exit through the basement which was cool. It was like a scene from the Thomas Crown Affair. Tried to grab the Roseta Stone on the way but they were watching me too closely.

Snow time.

Midnight by the graveyard. Tubular bells.

Bradford Bound

Dsc00259

Back to Bradford on the bus, every bloody one of us- on board is stifled. Heard about the man who died (who'd commited suicide) now the bus has gotta drive- a different route. I pray that pavement pizza's soul will get to heaven as we go home. Amen.

The Smoke

Doin' well daan saaaf! Top of the game and very proud of myself. Met an old mate of mine called Lindsay- had beer, pizza and soul food. Big smiles

Westminster Cathedral

Dsc00235

Is a strange unfinished dark and smokey place. Its undecorated vaulted ceiling is full of shadow. Below the chapels are lavish. From the outside it looks like leggo. From the inside like breezeblocks and broken pottery.
